Due to the strong Bismarck adoration, Göttingen also built a tower in 1896 as a mark of respect for the Reichs chancellor. The 31m high tower is situated at the highest point of the Hainberg. The four storey building offers in good weather a wonderful panoramic view over Göttingen and as far way as the Brocken (a mountain). Three storeys are used for changing exhibitations. So, it is well worth a trip even in bad weather.
Open Saturdays & Sundays from 11am-6pm in the months of May to September.
