Göttingen Christmas Market
Around the Gänseliesel and the imposing Johannis Church, in the heart of the old town takes the romantic Göttinger Christmas Market. Over 80 booths offer typical Christmas articles, wooden toys, glove puppets and much more. Craftspeople like glassblower, wood turner and silversmith show their craft in festive decorated wood huts.
People strolling over the market can get into Christmas mood with mulled wine and Christmas goodies. Musicians present themselves on the Christmas market stage and great for the little visitors are the join-in actions, carousel and historical Ferris wheel. The windows of the old town house change into an Advents calendar and the festive decorated streets invite a pre-Christmas shopping expedition.
