The brothers Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm, two of the famous 'Göttinger Seven', and Lou Andreas-Salomé, Nietzsche's girlfriend, Rilke and Freud, have left their mark at the university town as well as the witty mocker Heinrich Heine or the universal genius Georg Christoph Lichtenberg. That in Göttingen, more than forty Nobel Prize winners taught, worked or studied, is only mentioned in passing.
