Satire Prize "Göttinger Elch"
The "Göttinger ELCH" has been awarded since 1997 by a independent professional jury for "a life's work of satirical provenance and/or satirical multiple Talent". Prize winners of the past years are Chlodwig Poth, Robert Gernhardt, Gerhard Polt, Marie Marcks, Harry Rowohlt and F. W. Bernstein (Fritz Weigle). The Satire Prize is remunerated with 3.333,33 EUROs, 99 cans of "Original Göttinger Elch-Rahmsüppchen" and a massive silver elk brooch.
